Litigation Defense Attorney

Position Overview: As a Litigation Defense Attorney, you will represent clients in civil litigation matters, including personal injury defense, commercial litigation, and general liability. The ideal candidate will have strong litigation skills and a solid background in defense law. You will be responsible for managing cases from inception to resolution, with a focus on strategic litigation planning and advocacy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Represent clients in court, mediation, and arbitration in various defense litigation cases.
  • Draft pleadings, motions, discovery responses, and settlement agreements.
  • Conduct legal research and stay updated on relevant laws and regulations.
  • Prepare cases for trial, including the development of legal strategies, interviewing witnesses, and gathering evidence.
  • Collaborate with other attorneys and legal professionals to ensure optimal client representation.
  • Maintain strong client relationships and provide counsel on legal matters.
  • Negotiate settlements and advocate for clients during all phases of litigation.

Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active license to practice law in Alabama.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in civil litigation defense.
  • Strong knowledge of civil litigation procedures and laws.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple cases simultaneously.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
